This floor sits directly over the garage.
This
is the stairs that go up
from the kitchen/dining room
level (first floor) to the living
room and master boedroom level.
On the left
in this picture is the entryway
(the yellowish area at the bottom)
and the stairs up to the laundry
room. On the right (behind the
railing) is the living room.

This is a line drawing of the
living room/master bedroom level.
The stairs in the upper-right
corner go up to the laundry area
and
down to the dining room/kitchen.
The purple is the master bedroom.
The yellow is the master bath and
bath hallway. The blue is
the walk-in closet. The gray are
is the living room. The darker
grey rectangle represents the sliding
glass door to the balcony, and
the "triangle" shape shows the
slope of the ceiling to the dining
room below.
This is the view from the living
room down to the dining room.
The stairs from the previous
picture would be on your right.
The old passthrough (the slit)
is visible
on the right.
This is the living room, looking back at the stairs.

Picture of living room from
the landing. This should give
you an idea of scale - that's
our 10' sleeper sofa. There's
a fireplace on the
left side
(not visible in picture) and
a balcony on the far right outside
the (dark) sliding glass doors.
This is a clearer shot of the balcony area (with the couch's cloaking device turned on)
.
This is the former fireplace
opening. Lovely gray tile. You
can't see the best part—a "wood
box" which is a 2' x 2.5' cubbyhole
on the left of the fireplace,
also
outlined in gray tile, making
the whole thing look off-center.
Here'e a shot of the newly drywalled
area - the tile is gone and the
"wood box" is closed. (Grainy
due to lack of light - it was
taken at
5:30 am)
This is looking from the living
room/landing area into the master
bedroom. The windows directly
ahead are in the wall directly
above the garager doors. The
next
sequence of pictures is a "panorama"
of the master bedroom.
The master bedroom, toward the master bath. There's a walk-in closet on the left and a little cubby hole storage area on the right.
This is the view of the "back"
of the master bedroom, with the
master bath on the right and
a little behind, as if you turned
left from the direction in the
previous
picture.
This is looking further left than the previous picture, facing away from the master bath/closet area.
This is looking further left (getting dizzy yet?) The door to the living room/landing is out of view on the left.
Here's the new tile flooring in the master bath
Here's the tile in the shower.
